City College of San Francisco:The Engineering & Technology Department at CCSF encompasses a wide range of certificates and degrees, including biotechnology, computer aided design (CAD), electronics, environmental control (HVAC), geographic information systems (GIS), engineered plumbing systems, welding, manufacturing and fabrication, and sustainability. We have a complete stem cell laboratory, a full electronics lab, a metal and wood shop for engineering projects, and a welding lab.Position Description:While the Engineering & Technology Department is seeking candidates in all teaching areas, we are especially in need of applicants to teach for the CityBuild Academy, which is a pre-apprentice construction training program. The applicant will need to be available to teach during weekdays, evenings and/or weekends. The ideal candidate would be able to certify welds, simulate a real work environment, and implementstructure and discipline as seen on the construction jobsite, as well as adhere to the strict expectations of the CityBuild Academy.The Candidate May:May participate in departmental functions, such as staff meetings, committee work, faculty evaluations, curriculum development, and others.Teach lecture, lab, day, evening, and/or Saturday classes or classes at one or more sites as required.May participate in the development and/or selection of ancillary materials, equipment, computer software, etc. that will enhance the offerings of the department.Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.Examples of
