Role Summary/Purpose

The Software Deployment Consultant is a key part of the software deployment team responsible for design, planning, execution, and troubleshooting of Plant Operation Advisor focused on meeting customer and business goals. This position will be focused on deployment and configuration of POA cloud based software.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage projects/service installing POA software for a wide variety of equipment and machine types encountered in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Perform designs and configuration of all necessary system hierarchies, asset models, PFD’s, and PID’s, reports, analytics.
  • Assure the service is executed in a timely manner and in accordance with the customer's schedule.
  • Understand contractual commitments.
  • Coordinate different personnel and groups involved in the service contract.
  • Identify problems and take the initiative to eliminate those problems for project/service success.
  • Coordinate Review Meetings
  • Complete installation documentation.
  • Perform assessment, design, configuration and deployment of POA software at customer locations.
  • Timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
  • Support the growth initiatives of the business.
  • End user training of the configured POA solution.
  • Qualifications/Requirements

    Basic Qualifications

  • Possess a four-year technical degree in (STEM) Science, Technology, Mechanics (BSME) or Electronics (BSEE).
  • Available for extensive travel, if remote up to 80%, and work significant over-time.

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Demonstrate authority and assurance dealing with people.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to set/meet aggressive targets and work under stressful working conditions.
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office software.
  • Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills. “Hands-on approach”
  • Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA, New Orleans, LA, Houston, TX, or out of a remote location within the United States
  • Additional Elgibility Qualifications

    Desired Characteristics

  • 2+ years of project management and/or industry (energy and/or oil & gas) experience.
  • Knowledge of GE Predix, APM, Digital monitoring and protective services or other machinery protection and management systems.
  • Public presentation & training skills.
  • Knowledge of machinist tools and electrical trade.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas Offshore and onshore equipment, systems and platform operation and controls systems.
  • Familiarity with tools including but not limited to: Bently Nevada TK-Series Test Kits, Thermocouple Calibrator, RTD Calibrator, handheld DMM, function generator, power supply, oscilloscope, basic hand tools (training available as needed).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand mechanical and electrical prints.
  • Experience using Excel, AutoCAD.
  • Basic familiarity with computer network systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud based software solutions
  • Familiarity with Predix and APM.
  • Green Belt Certified.
