  • Leader in Environmental Services seeks:     Site Safety Professional   MUST HAVE 5 YEARS CONSTRUCTION SAFETY EXPERIENCE This is a requirement, candidates will not be considered if they do not meet this requirement.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • To develop, implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and Procedures.
    • To assist in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff and visitors.
    • To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
    • To investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents and to assist in the investigation of all accidents/incidents.
    • To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions.
    • To respond to employees’ safety concerns.
    • To conduct, as necessary, the safety inspection of any jobsite.
    • To act as liaison with all related governmental bodies and regulating agencies.
    • To coordinate the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, work place inspections and other matters related to implementing safety procedures in jobsites.
    • To assume other duties as may be assigned.

    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Bilingual preferred.
    • Proficient in word, excel & outlook.
    • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Analyze complex problems and suggest appropriate solutions.
    • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with employees, officials and the general public.
    • Construction Industry experience is required.
    • OSHA 500 construction certification is required.
    • Competent person training in the following areas: Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall protection, Confined space.
