You will be working on multiple projects as a project leader and internal consultant in Support of GE Digital’s APM and Predix Field Agent solutions. You will interact with Product Development, Sales, Support, Professional Service organizations and internal and external customers. You will be a deep technical expert who is responsible for the use of Chef Systems, Predix and cloud infrastructure automation framework within the GE Digital Software Technology organization.
You will lead the maintenance and deployment of applications and infrastructure to the cloud for your customers and hold overall responsibility for customer facing services and SLAs and act as the overall voice of the customer for GE Digital.Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction
Support full stack solution for APM and Predix Field Agent solutions in a Service Ops capacity
Be responsible for maintaining a deep, up-to-date understanding of customer solutions, teams, and integrated systems in order to effectively support GE Digital customers
Responsible for executing build and release strategy for highly complex parallel and concurrent releases for Software Products in support of APM and Predix Field Agent
Enhance and support multiple cloud-based customer environments, deploying continuous integration framework used across teams
Writes code and scripts using program as well as scripting languages for CI\CD
Understand, design, and deploy full stack (Infrastructure, applications, DB, middleware, networking)
Drives performance and reliability, including developing testing plans and applying reliability frameworks across full stack deployments
Develop and support meaningful customer based metrics and reports
Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level
Participate in the EA (Enterprise Architecture) governance model
Support the development software and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses
Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
Writes code using programming as well as scripting languages for automation, monitoring, and integrations
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in QA, Architecture or DevOps roles OR Master’s degree with 5 years of experience in QA, Architecture or DevOps roles

Extensive SQL DBA experience including but not limited to (backup/recovery, performance optimization & tuning, monitoring, security, auditing, configuration and troubleshooting)
Experience delivering SaaS solutions
Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
Understands concepts of setting and driving architecture direction.
Familiar with elements of gathering architecture requirements.
Understands architecture standards concepts to apply to project work.
Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective.
Coach and or resource for skilled engineers on processes & tools critical to domain operations (e.g., data/text mining, neural nets, signal processing, fault prognostics, etc.).
Authority on the underlying theoretical concepts behind the analytics logarithms, and can assess new tools and methods to fill technical gaps.
Is also aware of how these methods are being used for comparable use cases in other related industries.
Can instruct others on processes and procedures. Advises the customer on most favorable outcome, anticipates potential issues to proactively circumvent issues.
