Job Description: Position responsibilities include support with assembly and engineering development activities in the Skyworks Newport Beach Development Lab. Daily activities will include building prototypes and engineering development parts using assembly equipment such as: Solder Screen Printer, SMT machine, Reflow Oven, Die Attach Machine, Wire Bond Machine, Molding, Laser Marking and Dicing equipment. Position requires a person with the ability to communicate and interface with internal business unit customers/engineers for assembly issues and corrective actions. Other tasks may include parts kitting/inventory and organization of lab materials, running DOE and data collection for the Electronic Packaging group. Must know how to perform minor equipment troubleshooting. Must participate in a daily shift change pass down, exchange of information or meetings. Job Requirements: High school degree required. Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Familiarity with the following equipment/process is a positive: Solder Screen Printing, Fuji SMT machine, DATACON die attach machine, KnS wire bonder, TOWA molding machine, ROFIN laser marking and DISCO saw singulation machine. The ability to run and operate these various semiconductor assembly equipment and tooling is a plus. Additionally, the ability to do minor machine maintenance trouble shooting and preventative maintenance is a plus. Candidates should have the ability to use various hand tools, measuring tools, DVMs, ohm meters. vacuum pen, tweezers and know how to read and analyze schematics, wire bond diagrams and drawings. A basic understanding of electronic circuits is required. Should have an ample knowledge and ability on Microsoft Office - MS Word, Power Point and Excel for reporting tasks.

This position requires a self-motivated team player with a strong desire to succeed in a fast paced assembly operations environment. Technician will take an active role in the 2nd shift assembly prototype and engineering development in Newport Beach Development Lab.
