We have a current opening for a Project Manager, in Oakland/Bay Area, California.

Position Description:

The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for overseeing Horizontal Division projects at Oakland International Airport (OAK).  A successful PM will be involved in projects from commencement to completion; leading the project team, vendor and customer relations, budget management, and various other aspects of a job.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and organize project with input and assistance from project team and division leaders
  • Establish and oversee project objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Supervise, negotiate, approve change orders relative to the project
  • In partnership with superintendent and foreman, maintain pulse on job progress; ensuring project is on schedule, within budget, etc. 
  • Monitor and manage financial details involved in project; billing, income and expenses, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with at least 5 years of related experience
  • Must understand the entire construction process from design through project close-out including bid analysis, budgeting, writing scopes of work, document interpretation, design-build and negotiated projects
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Ability to prioritize, complete tasks, and address issues in a timely manner
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Autodesk Software preferred
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills

Special Considerations:

  • Experience managing airfield projects a plus
  • Must have ability to drive company vehicle
  • Must be able to pass a background check for badging purposes for entry onto airfield(s)
