Summary: The Program Account Representative (PAR) is responsible for visiting Saladino’s Program Accounts within a specific region on a routine basis as specified by the Director of Program Sales.  The PAR executes company sales plans and initiatives, as well as communicates services and pricing to program account partners. The PAR’s main focus is increasing sales by building relationships with program customers through customer site visits, ensuring that all Saladino’s Foodservices are being utilized, following up on any customer concerns, and identifying new opportunities to grow sales within those accounts.


Essential Functions:

  • Develops and penetrates accounts by selling and upselling a full mix of product categories through personal presentation of new products, ideas and technology, within the guidelines of the customer’s corporate office.
  • Participates and/or assists with customer concerns, RSPCs, sample requests, price quotations.
  • Proactively performs product conversions as directed.  Proactively presents new items (pre-approved by customer’s corporate offices) to customer to increase sales.
  • Creates and/or utilizes reports to analyze customer purchases. Works to sell all product categories and maximize customer drop sizes.
  • Actively participates in and proactively seeks ongoing training to ensure effectiveness in the area of food safety and selling.
  • Achieves the goals and objectives set forth by the Director of Program Sales.
  • Follows an efficient site visit schedule provided by the Saladino’s Foodservice Logistics team. Travel and overnight stays may be required at the approval of the Director of Program Sales.
  • Site visits will consist of: meet and greet, store contact updates, customer satisfaction, compliance, Saladino’s Foodservice opportunities, sharing market conditions, LTO info, customer office information, new products, discontinued products, etc.
  • Completes Site Visit reports in for each account within territory. Keeps account information current (i.e. manager’s name, other personnel, etc.). Promptly keeps all applicable departments of Saladino’s Foodservice informed and up-to-date of customer information and situations.
  • Confirms that customer is purchasing in compliance with customer’s corporate office and Saladino’s Foodservice.
  • Acts as a liaison between customer and Saladino’s. Finds and documents customer opportunities; reports opportunities to Program Sales Management,
  • Makes engaging site visits and builds solid relationships with the customer, GMs, and the primary managers of the accounts. Provides exceptional customer service that is in the best long-term interest of the companies and protects the image of Saladino’s Foodservice.
  • Introduces customers to product specialists and follows through on customer requests for information and samples.
  • Participates in setting up new individual accounts, and assist with the rollout of new customers.
  • Participates in area managers’ meetings as needed.
  • Periodically takes orders from and/or delivers product to customers.
  • Recognizes and identifies new multi-unit/chain business possibilities that support Saladino’s strategic objectives. Notifies Program Sales Management for further vetting.
  • Works with the Customer Relationship and Customer Service teams to guarantee exceptional customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the company
• Intermediate mathematical skills
• Ability to work in an organized and proactive manner
• Open to new ideas; handles change positively
• Knowledge of company products and services
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Resides in immediate area of assigned region
• Available to travel extensively


Education and/or Experience 
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of two years in related field preferred


Licenses and Certifications
• Valid California Driver’s License 
• Clean DMV printout 
• Serv Safe Certification preferred
