Job Summary:

 

Manages a designated Manufacturing activity of the Company, providing direction and coordination to the operations of several diverse manufacturing groups engaged in producing metallic or non-metallic products for aerospace, government and/or commercial applications in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer delivery schedules.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Organizes Programs to plan, delivers production schedules, support and improve manufacturing efforts through continuous improvement activities. 
  • Provides indirect supervision to a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, forming and assembly of non-metallic parts, components or units, machining, processing metallic or non-metallic.
  • Works with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering in the transition of newly designed products into production.
  • Fosters a cooperative working relationship between his department and interested personnel of other Arrowhead Departments.
  • Ensure compliance with the appropriate plant operating policies and controls
  • Coordinates in the establishing and maintenance of quality standards for producing products. 
  • Has a clear understanding and promotes the use of lean manufacturing and other cost savings initiatives.

Education and Experience

 

  • 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment with BA/BS.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient with computerized manufacturing and business software
  • Capable of developing and managing departmental budgets
  • Possess strong background in manufacturing processes and specifications
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

  • Able to oversee the work of your direct reports; ensuring they are effectively producing quality work.
