To help us achieve this, our team is seeking an experienced Operations Manager.

The Position:

Achieving the budgeted gross margin dollars outlined in the company plan

Holding the Technicians to a established labor ratios; and ensuring that all team members are delivering 100% customer satisfaction.

Training -- With the assistance of ownership and training packages, meet with technicians and installers once per week at the minimum, making sure that the technicians and installers fully understand and are fully trained on their needed contributions to achieve the company plan.  Provides ongoing technical training.

Making sure that all production personnel are following OSHA safety standards (training available) and that team members are safety conscious at all times.  Cover at least one safety issue in each weekly meeting and conduct a major safety training meeting at least once per quarter.

Making sure that team members display a positive team spirit at all times and are committed to the 100% satisfaction of the company’s clients.

Motivating – Be a leader for the technicians.  Show them that you are willing to do anything that they are asked to do.  Help each associate to see where the company is headed and how important they are in helping it grow.  Be an optimist! Be enthusiastic! Always teach the technicians to look for why something WILL work, instead of why it WON’T work

Administrating – Make sure that you understand and follow the guidelines for reporting procedures and paperwork.  Be neat and detailed in your paperwork. Keep a calendar of when different reports are due. Make sure that employee matters are handled immediately.  Provide the daily report of production information to the Administrative Manager by 7:15 a.m. each day.

Recruiting -- Continually recruit new Technicians.

Protecting the company’s assets – Always monitor how the trucks, tools, and inventory are being taken care for.  You have the responsibility to make sure that they are being protected.

Obeying and teaching your Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.

One third of your time should be spent Recruiting the right Team Members. One third of your time should be spent Training those team members, and then the last One third should be spend Supervising, Administrating, and Motivating your team.  Manage your time in these proportions and you will be a successful manager.

  • A bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
