Peterson has an immediate need for an experienced Inventory Clerk at our San Leandro, CA location.  The person in the position is responsible to stock, track, and organize the SITECH NorCal inventory.  The primary responsibilities include: fill customer parts orders, work closely with sales and service teams to establish streamlined procedures to ensure sufficient tracking for products.  Conduct routine inventory counts to ensure accuracy, and optimal levels of product are met.  Communicate with customers on backordered items and will call pick-up and drop-off schedules. 

  1. Remove parts and components from shipping containers and stock them in the proper location.
  2. Remove parts from storage to fill customer orders, parts counter requests, and service department requests.
  3. Prepares packages for shipment and deliver
  4. Generates shipping/packing labels
  5. Process parts returns and restock in proper location.
  6. Schedules inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations.
  7. Perform inventory counts as directed.
  8. Communicate with Sales Representative and Service Technicians regarding product ordering.
  9. Provide “Customer First” customer service to all walk-in customers and visitors. 
  10. Assist in other department activities as assigned by supervisor.
  11. Record Serial Numbers in Business System and with Mfr.
  12. Enter Item Receipts into System.
  13. Place Orders as needed to maintain minimum levels of main Inventory.

Possess high school diploma, or the equivalent, and with at least two years of inventory control and warehouse experience. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must possess a forklift certification or possess the ability to obtain a certification within 30 days.
