The Human Resources (HR) Specialist is responsible for the general functions of the HR department and assists in all personnel matters. Serves as a liaison between employees, management, and executive management. Represents the department in leadership meetings and the company in various community events. Duties include: supervision and development of staff, development and implementation of company policies/procedures, employee training on HR-related content, advising management on employment law or employee relations, managing benefit and payroll administration/compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have ten years of experience or equivalent formal training in the Human Resources field
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, security, and represent the company well in situations involving other companies and government agencies
  • Comprehensive understanding of public works labor compliance preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment and safety laws and regulations
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Must have a valid California driver license and favorable DMV record
