The position will provide bid estimates and proposals for Building Automation projects; build and manage long-term customer relationships/partnerships with target mechanical contractors, MEP consultants and building owners to target and secure new construction opportunities.
Primary Job Duties:
Ø Create competitive, accurate, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis. Effectively write, present and communicate bids.
Ø Negotiates value, address resistance when demonstrated and closes the sale with optimal profit levels. Recommends which bids to pursue based on a mixture of quantitative and qualitative information.
Ø Analyzes customer needs with the help of the manager. Effectively partners with companywide team members to accurately quantify materials and labor costs.
Ø Works closely with customers, architects and engineers to ensure satisfaction and provide technical support; prepares pre-design documentation and budgeting for customers
Ø Collaborates with all team members to ensure a smooth transition from prospect status to client status and conducts post sale follow up and turnover with internal teams to ensure all sales agreements have been accomplished per company standards, and customers are satisfied
Ø Maintain overall account management responsibilities for assigned accounts.
Ø Develop accounts by tracking and analyzing services provided; interviewing key customer personnel; identifying and evaluating additional needs; identifying and evaluating new opportunities
Ø Education: At least 1-2 years’ experience in successful track record estimating, selling building automation control solutions and project management Ability to develop credible estimates and proposals; accelerate sale process Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required
