TAC Insight, which specializes in vertical software for debris management and truck weigh ticketing, has developed software specific to track removal of dead & dying trees under the Catastrophic Event Memorandum Account (CEMA) under which California power companies are operating cut and removal of hazardous trees. Under this program we are seeking a self-motivated individual to provide reporting and data analysis to interface between the power utility company’s database specialist and provide operational business reporting.
The Data Analyst & Report Developer will have the following primary responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and help implement all necessary reports to support the business operations and daily work flow of data.
Assist in translating stakeholders request from power utilities into data requirements.
Collaborate with the management team and key stakeholders to analyze data and fulfill all requirements of business operations.
Education and Experience:
BS in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience
2+ years’ experience in BI or data reporting
Excellent relational database experience and understanding of data modeling
Experience with CEMA Tree Mortality Program, Pacific Gas & Electric, or SCE Tree Inventory & Tracking, or ACRT Tree Program Management
Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a team member
Excellent communications skills
Proven ability to learn new technology
Responsibilities and Duties:
Experience with various reporting toolsets which include: Crystal Reports, Telerik Reporting, Microsoft SSRS, and others.
Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 and logical database design and SQL concepts.
Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL.
Ability to build basic SQL query designs in order to optimize data reporting.
Build interactive dashboard and reports for embedding into internal and client-facing applications.
Ability to audit and validate data for accuracy.
