POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides administrative support to the Credit & Finance Departments to include the ability to develop relationships with customers, to apply credit policies and to pursue payment collection. Will also provide administrative and clerical support to assist in efficient operation of departments.



  1. Assists with ensuring that the corporate credit policies and procedures are adhered to.
  2. Perform collections activities for accounts within a specified portfolio.
  3. Update and maintain credit files for existing customers and process new credit applications.
  4. Research and resolve short pays and deductions.
  5. Monitor credit and collection status of all customers.
  6. Determine release of orders based on customer credit status.
  7. Communicate effectively with sales people regarding customer status and relationship.
  8. Resolve customer disputes and collection issues.
  9. Point person for inbound calls from external and internal customers; answering, directing and making phone calls.
  10. Handle inquiries and incoming work requests.
  11. Review files and records to answer requests for information.
  12. Check and distribute documents and correspondence.
  13. Control basic accounting functions such as checking invoices/proformas.
  14. Other clerical or administrative duties as assigned.


  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. One year related commercial credit experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Technical competency in Microsoft Office. Outlook and general computer skills.
  4. Strong customer focus and relationship building skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  7. Desire for quality and continuous improvement within a high paced work environment.
  8. Knowledge of mechanics lien law strongly preferred.
  9. Must have valid California Class C driver's license.
