SUMMARY
Rents & maintains Caterpillar products to maximize profit; effectively services the rental needs of current and prospective customers of large earthmoving and small Caterpillar line.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for Maintenance and Repair of Heavy Rents fleet.
Coordinates / schedules maintenance and repairs with Service Department; monitors repair status and costs.
Approves and monitor all shop cost for quotes & repairs.
Monitors rental equipment check-in / check-out process.
Receives and schedules field service calls.
Monitors and schedules Preventative Maintenance services in shop and field.
Monitors and schedules PIP’s with appropriate Service Dept.
Works with Service Dept. to ensure equipment abuse by customers are identified and billed accordingly.
Works with Condition Monitoring to maintain equipment connectivity, alerts, and PM Service schedule.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with equipment repairs, billing, and related logistics.
Oversees rental CARB reporting with the state of California.
Ensures rental agreements are signed.
Routinely briefs Heavy Rents Manager regarding daily reports and rental sales activities.
Makes recommendations to management regarding changes in the rental fleet mix and equipment needs to maximize revenue.
Retrieves / reviews daily management reports from iRental database.
Routinely briefs Heavy Rents Manager regarding daily reports and rental sales activities.
Rental customer service activities: take calls, answers questions, quotes rates.
Assists customers choose correct equipment size, mix, and model for application and jobsite requirements.
Promotes the use of Caterpillar products for all rental needs.
Maintains proactive / creative posture to increase rental sales activity and profitability.
Ensures accurate and timely rental transactions: invoicing, insurance verification, credit checks, payment terms, etc.
Schedules / coordinates equipment hauling in support customers’ needs through appropriate channels; processes billing.
Updates rental transactions and related information into iRental database.
Assists outside Sales Representatives as necessary.
Ensures good housekeeping standards are maintained.
Represents Quinn Heavy Rents in a professional manner that promotes the goals and values set forth by Quinn Company and the Caterpillar organization.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Five years experience as a rental coordinator or related experience, certificate of completion or AA/AS degree from a community college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
